LEARN TO PLAY THE PIANO TODAY
Mrs. Miller loves teaching children and adults how to play the piano. She is dedicated to bring out the best in her students. Parents of children under 10 are encouraged to be at the lesson to take notes and support learning process. Students tend to stick with it longer with your backing. Mrs. Miller can teach anyone from age 5 up. She guides each and every student through the basics of listening, playing, and reading music. She introduces harmony and musical form quite early if they are ready. Students memorize their pieces (for adults this optional) and are encouraged to play musically every time they play them, especially when they practice! No automatic pilots or parrots! Learning to play an instrument well carries over into their school work, their career, the ability to face any challenge with confidence, optimism, perseverance, and sense of accomplishment.
ABOUT STEPHANIE MILLER
With more than 25 years of experience in piano lessons, Stephanie Miller teaches a combination of Suzuki and Traditional to her students, giving them the best of both worlds. She encourages the child to get clues from the ear first, focusing on correct hand positions to get different sounds. She is motivated by her love of music and the enthusiasm to transfer her knowledge, skills and musicality to others. She aims to impart the joy of music to her students so they will use this ability or discipline throughout their lives as they want.
